Ghana’s gospel music Industry lacks unity – singer Davemens

Ghanaian gospel musician Davemens says there’s no unity in the gospel music industry.

Dave, the younger brother of award-winning gospel artist Joyce Blessing, made this known in an interview with Ameyaw Debrah.

According to him, gospel artistes in Ghana don’t support each other. he said they are too judgmental and full of jealousy.

The singer made this assertion in reaction to his sister’s (Joyce Blessing) marriage scandal.

“First of all, the gospel industry is not united, when Joyce’s issue came up, I didn’t see any gospel artist who called her to comfort her or to pray for her marriage. nobody did that but they were all quick to point fingers” he said.

Davemens has been in the gospel industry for about 10 years. he’s worked with numerous top gospel artists including SP Kofi Sarpong and Joyce Blessing.

He said his upcoming single ‘Highly Favoured’ features a circular artiste.
