The Chief Executive Officer of Blue Rose Ltd, Mr Eric Ebo Acquah, has urged Ghanaians to take advantage of mortgage facilities in the country to acquire landed properties such as houses.

He said many people shied away from mortgage loans and “continued to languish in cruel hands of landlords who charge exorbitant fees as rents.” Mr Acquah made the call upon his return from the United States of America (USA), where his company received the International Quality Summit Award in the Diamond Category at the BID Quality Convention in New York.

A citation accompanying the award said Blue Rose had made huge strides as a leader “not only within its sector, but also in Ghana.” The MD said the award came as an ideal way to celebrate the company’s successes over the years while it looked forward to putting quality first in the years to come.

The International Quality Summit Award is presented by BID to companies and organisations that adhere to excellence and innovation in their practices. Mr Acquah said he was happy that the company continued to attract both local and international attention with its quality and affordable housing project.

“That is why we are encouraging Ghanaians to patronise the mortgage system to acquire houses,” he said, adding that with the current pension scheme, the third tier could be used as collateral.
