Two years ago, Jaguar opened up about his dad’s alcohol addiction.
He said his father had been an addict for years and so he decided to get him help by taking him to a rehabilitation centre in Nyeri called Serenity Spring Center. This happened around the same time that Jaguar had been appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as a director at National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
The situation was too bad that Jaguar had to prevent his dad from driving. During an interview back then, he had said:
“I had to confiscate his car keys to save him from causing an accident. He can have them back when he stops drinking. I must look out for him because he is my only living parent.”
That was a responsible thing for him to do. Drink-driving is never a good thing.
And now after two long years, his dad his out of rehab.
Jaguar was glad to share photos of his now sober dad, David Njagua. I am pretty sure the old man is glad to get back on the road again.
Jaguar attracted praise from his loyal followers on Facebook for looking out for his dad. The singer now has to focus on trying to clinch the Starehe parliamentary seat as he faces off against the likes of Boniface Mwangi and Steve Mbogo.
