Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong has urged his team-mates to take a cue from their loss to Aduana Stars in the Super Cup on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors lost 1-0 to Aduana Stars courtesy a 64th minute strike by Bright Adjei in the Super Cup at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.
As the FA Cup holders sharpen their rough edges ahead of the coming campaign, captain Amos Frimpong has implored his team-mates to pick the positives from the loss before the start of the season.
“Our games against Aduana is very high tensioned anytime we meet and today’s game was no exception. Our target was to win the trophy but on the day there were lucky and took their chance and the game was keenly contested and we were determined to clinch the ultimate but things didn’t go our way.”
“All is not lost, we still preparing and doings lots of correction ahead of our Confederations Cup opener which kicks starts in the next two weeks,” Amos Frimpong said in a post-match interview.
The Reds will commence their Ghana League season with a home fixture against newly promoted side Techiman Eleven Wonders.
