Ajax console Mohammed Kudus after injury on his Champions League debut

Dutch champions, Ajax consoled their attacker Mohammed Kudus after he suffered an injury on his Champions League debut on Wednesday night.

The Ghanaian looked devastated as he walked off the pitch after six minutes into his first appearance in the competition.

Kudus was handed a starting role against Premier League champions, Liverpool – a team that were reportedly interested in signing him from Norsdjaelland.

But after six minutes, the talented attacker could not continue after a clash with Fabinho.

The medical team assessed him and decided not to allow him to continue, with Quincy Promes replacing him.

Kudus was close to tears when it was confirmed that he could not play any further part in the match.

The 20-year-old joined Ajax in the summer on a five-year deal.
