Three COVID-19 affected players dropped from Ghana’s squad ahead of Sudan clash

Ghanaian trio to have contracted the coronavirus after playing in this month’s international friendlies against Mali and Qatar have been dropped  from the  Black Stars squad ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifier against Sudan next month.

Bernard Mensah, Joseph Attamah and Kassim Nuhu were among the eight Black Stars players to have contracted the coronavirus after joining their respective teams during the international break.

Ghana coach CK Akonnor named his 23-man squad ahead of next month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan with the three players missing out from his squad.

Meanwhile, Besiktas midfielder Joseph Attamah has recovered from the coronavirus and has joined his team for training ahead of this weekend’s game for Kayserispor in the Turkish Super League.

Bernard Mensah has also been declared fit and has returned to full scale training.
