Another high school football player has been seriously injured during a game, this time in Seattle where the teen was fighting for his life over the weekend.
Kenny Bui, a wide receiver and defensive back at Seattle’s Evergreen High, was injured from a violent tackle during a game against Highline High on Friday, reports KIRO.
The senior was rushed to an area medical center, where he underwent emergency surgery and remained in critical condition on Sunday.

The Superintendent for Highline Schools, Susan Enfield, took to Twitter in response to the sad event.
‘Our Highline community is hurting this weekend. An Evergreen football player was critically injured in Friday’s game,’ she wrote Sunday. ‘Please keep our student, his family, classmates, and teachers in your thoughts.’
The exact nature of Bui’s injuries and surgery were not revealed as of Sunday.
Late last month, a New Jersey high school star quarterback died after suffering an injury on the field.
Evan Murray of Warren Hills Regional High School died after he was hurt in a game against Summit High School on Friday night. Murray had been the football team’s starting quarterback for three years.
It was later revealed that Murray suffered from a lacerated spleen and that his spleen had been enlarged at the time of his death.
Murray was the third American high school player to die following game-related injuries this season, notes the Sky Valley Chronicle.
