It’s no secret that fathers can be embarrassing, so spare a thought for the young woman who was shown up by her old man in front of hundreds of thousands of people on social media.
The lady posted a somewhat alluring snap from her bed of her tanned, knitted sock clad legs beside a mug of coffee and her laptop.
Unfortunately for the girl in question, her father spotted the snap and took it upon himself to outdo his daughter – by posting his own hilarious version, which has amassed over one million views.

His version of his daughter’s image shows him reclining on his bed with his hairy legs on show.
Whilst his daughter wears fashionable beige socks with intricate bows on in her snap, her father opted for classic dad socks emblazoned with colourful polkadots.

This isn’t the first time that embarrassing parents have taken to the internet to mock their children.
When one young woman decided to celebrate her new relationship with a series of romantic selfies, her parents seized the opportunity to poke fun at her candid couples snaps – by recreating the images themselves, with absolutely brilliant results.
Emily Musson, a student at LIM College in New York City, began dating her boyfriend, Johnny, a mere two weeks before, but like any young person in love, she was quick to document the blossoming relationship on her social media accounts.
Clearly tickled by their daughter’s very public display of affection, Emily’s parents, Nancy, 55, and Craig, 53, who have been together for 28 years, decided to put their own, incredibly entertaining, spin on the snaps.
The couple shared their versions with their mortified daughter on Facebook, where they quickly began racking up hundreds of likes.
