Bruno Fernandes calls on Manchester United players to be ‘mood leaders’ after victory over Everton

The Toffees took the lead before Fernandes’ equaliser, while the attacking midfielder then crossed to Marcus Rashford – who appeared to miss his header, with the ball floating straight in.

Fernandes also then provided the assist late on for Edinson Cavani’s first United goal, which wrapped up a third successive away victory in the Premier League for the Red Devils.

United’s talisman says that all players have a role to play for the side to be more successful than they have been of late, and he will continue to provide chances rather than take them if it leads to wins.

“The most important thing for me is to serve my team-mates like I did for Edi at the end,” he told BT Sport.

“We know inside the dressing room what we have to do.

“The three points are for everyone not one player.”

Despite the win, United remain in the bottom half after a poor start to the season, while they lost in midweek in the Champions League with a worrying defensive display.

Fernandes has six goals in all competitions this term, including Saturday’s brace.
