Is Brighton vs Aston Villa on TV tonight? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch Premier League fixture

Aston Villa head to Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend hoping to push their chances of securing European football for next season. Villa have stumbled recently, but got back to winning ways in deserved fashion by beating Arsenal 1-0 last weekend.

That result left Villa ninth in the table, with a game in hand over several of the sides above them and every chance of staying right in the mix for a Europa League spot, given the inconsistencies being shown by most teams.

The Seagulls drew with Burnley last time out in the league and are 10 points clear of the bottom three heading into the weekend, in 15th, though they have played a game more than both the Clarets and Fulham, who are 17th and 18th respectively.

What is the team news?

Brighton’s injury list is piling up with both starting wing-backs out, Tariq Lamptey and Solly March, as well as centre-back Adam Webster and midfielder Jose Izquierdo. Alexis Mac Allister should be back in the line-up but Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Florin Andone are longer-term absentees.

Aston Villa are still missing Kortney Hause and Wesley at opposite ends of the pitch but are otherwise untroubled by injuries.

Predicted line-ups

Brighton – Sanchez; White, Dunk, Webster; Veltman, Gross, Bissouma, Burn; Mac Allister, Trossard; Maupay

Brighton – 23/12

Draw – 28/11

Villa – 13/8

Both sides are likely to fancy their chances of taking all three points if on top form. Brighton’s defence has been excellent of late, but Villa do have in-form attackers of their own – so could edge it. Brighton 0-1 Villa.
