In his first public testimony about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Judiciary Committe on Sunday that the attack was “criminal behavior, plain and simple … that we, the FBI, view as domestic terrorism.”
Wray continued by saying the siege “was not an isolated event.” Rather, he said, “the problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now, and it’s not going away anytime soon.”
