Africa’s friendliest people will often receive you with a popular Akan welcome greeting, Akwaaba! A right handshake, usually with a click of your finger afterwards is key to everything. Don’t be surprised to hear the word Oburuni if you are white, it is a description of your color no offense. The principal ethnic groups of estimated 20 million people are the Akan ( Twi and Fante speaking)- 45% million Ewe- 16%, Ga-Adangbe 9% and Hausa- 16%.
